Pleated ruffle dress

I finished this dress about a week ago, but a cold got on the way and only today I’m posting.

I saw the pattern on the last month BurdaStyle PT, they recommended a thin fabric like viscose rayon, but that’s not warm and it’s almost December, I wouldn’t be able to wear it with this freezing cold, so I decided to use a thick jersey fabric not to stretching in white.

It was supposed to be a midi dress, but it wouldn’t look good on me, I am petit, so I made it shorter and reduceed the size and length of the godet panels.

What caught my eyes when I first saw this pattern was mainly the top with the pleats and the ruffles. These details were the most difficult part of this project and they took me quite some time.

This is new for me to wear a white dress for winter 🙂 🙂 :). I’m thinking I’ll feel quite unique. So far, I find this dress so cool to style. I can style it up or down with a leather jacket and black booties, there are so many options.

What do you think about my new dress?

Do you find it difficult to wear winter white clothes?

Let me know in the comments

Take care
